The Town of Cutler Bay elections will be held on November 2nd, 2010. The Election for all candidates is town-wide. All registered voters in Cutler Bay will be able to cast a vote in each race, regardless of where your home is located within the town. Town council candidates must reside in the district that they are representing, but the voters will be able to vote in each of the two races - Mayor, and Council Seat 1. The candidates are:

Vice Mayor
Vice Mayor Ed MacDougall is running for Mayor and will have to vacate his current position. The town council will appoint a vice mayor according to provisions in the Town of Cutler Bay Charter Section 2.4, C(2), which reads:
(2) If six months or more remain in the unexpired term, the vacancy shall be filled by resolution of the council, at its next regularly scheduled meeting or a special meeting to be held no later than 30 days after the vacancy occurs. The nominee shall fill the vacancy until the next scheduled countywide election in Miami-Dade County at which time an election shall be held to fill the vacancy for the balance of the term. However, if the council is unable to confirm a nominee, a special election to fill that vacancy shall be held no later than 90 days following the occurrence of the vacancy.
